DRUGS IN JAIL

So the poor darlings that are sent to prison claim their human rights have been violated because they cannot continue to take drugs whilst locked up. And what is worse is that the Government have settled out of court and are to pay them compensation!!!!!

EXCUSE me Mr Government...that's my taxes that you have agreed to give these wasters!

I am afraid that I take the old fashioned view that 1....prison is where you go when you have offended 2....taking drugs is illegal

So, yes we will always breach some human right or other of those that are locked up but they themselves have obviously breached someone elses human rights before they were locked up (I don't see them paying compensation to their victims!!)

AND if we allowed them to continue taking drugs while inside are we not condoning the offence and, if we supply them the drugs are we supplying them?

ONCE MORE THE LACK OF COMMON SENSE SHOWN IN THIS COUNTRY IS BEYOND BELIEF

What about school policies on school dinners. Reading that a school has introduced a healthy eating policy and has said that no child can have more than one "junk item" as part of their school dinner.

Seems to make sense BUT what about the wee boy whose single parent Dad gave him a packed lunch that included crisps and a Jaffa Cake??? TWO junk items say the school so the kid was taken out of the school dining room, in front of all his mates, and made to eat his "outlawed unhealthy" lunch on his own in the headmasters office.

Seems to me that parents should have the right to decide what their children will eat not the school. If they want to take the Jamie Oliver route to healthy school dinners they should be applauded but LAY OFF THE PACKED LUNCH. PARENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO FEED THEIR CHILDREN THEY WAY THEY WANT.

HAVE WE TAKEN ALLEGATIONS OF RACISM TOO FAR

Another recent newspaper article related to a white British girl (14 years old I think) who had returned to school after a being off ill. In her absence the class had been split into groups and were working on a project. The teacher put her into a group with four other children. Three of the four were from asian immigrant families and the children could speak only their native language and the fourth was second generation asian and could speak with them. As a result they were doing the class work in a foriegn language.

The girl who had returned from illness complained to the teacher that she could not work with the group as she could not understand them. Instead of taking a common sense approach, the teacher accused the girl of racism and the school called in the Police. The local Constabulary also lacked the common sense gene and wheeled her off to the police station, where, after investigation, she was released without any charges being brought.

Iam the first to abhor racism and challenge inappropriate comment or behaviour but surely A LITTLE COMMON SENSE SHOULD PREVAIL.

WE ARE NOT ALL PAEDOPHILES

Read an article in last week papers that it is now British Airways policy that they will not allow men travelling alone to be sat beside children.

The vast majority of males in the UK would not harm a child in any way and are more than happy to see the perverts who would get their comuppance in court.

Well I am really getting hacked off with this generalisation. Here is a headline for the newspapers...."NOT ALL MEN ARE PAEDOPHILES!!!"
