FOUR DAY SCHOOL WEEK

Politicians are going to debate reducing the school week from 5 to 4 days.  Apparently our little cherubs are too stressed to do 5 a day week at school.

Wonder how stressed they will get when they leave school and have to get a job.  40 hours minimum a week - how will they cope then?

At a time when jobs are hard to get, the more qualifications that a prospective employee has, the better. Given the levels of knowledge displayed by some of todays teenagers and young adults, we probably need more, rather than less teaching hours.

DON'T WATER DOWN THE EDUCATION SYSTEM....INVEST IN IT AND IN OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE

IT'S CALLED ACTING FOR A REASON

An actor has just accepted a role in which they have to wear a "fat suit". Apparently, according to a woman interviewed on TV, this role should have been given to a genuine "fat person" who would have more empathy with the role because of their intimate knowledge of being fat.  She also suggested that the casting had denied fat people acting roles.

So let me get this thinking straight...Harry Potter should have been played by a genuine wizard, R2D2 should have been a genuine robot, and Pirates of the Caribbean should have starred genuine pirates.

A GOOD START WOULD BE TO GET GENUINE SOCIAL COMMENTATORS ON TV

HERE WE GO AGAIN

12 years ago, I started this blog as a way to air my frustrations about the way the world was changing.  My last entry was about 9 years ago. In recent times I have noticed that I am beginning to get frustrated again.

It seems every day some person/comment/decision/'news story" has got me shaking my head in disbelief.  I thought it might be a good idea to resurrect the blog - again.

So, no promises, but step up, fasten your seat belt and prepare for take off as the Daily Moan is back.
