It is bad enough that some clown complains that the term "two man delivery" is sexist but what are Argos thinking about when they kowtow to the woke crusader and declare that, from now on, they will offer a "two person" delivery.
I just don't understand how people can get fired up over petty terminology. I get it that abusive or insulting terminology is unacceptable, but for crying out loud let's stay sensible.

Ricardo dos Santos, a Portuguese athlete, says he has been stopped in his car, three in the last two years. When a police car passed him and signalled for him to stop, he feared for his safety so he failed to stop and drove off past the patrol car.
Apparently Mr dos Santos was surprised when, 5 minutes later, other police cars boxed him in and forced him to stop. He was annoyed when asked to leave the car he saw a lot of police officers, some of them armed, had responded to the incident.
It was alleged by the police he had been using his phone while driving, bur, apparently no charges were proffered.
Mr dos Santos claims he was treated this way because of his colour. News flash, you were treated this way because it took 5 minutes for you to stop...and you had to be made to.

Why do we feel we have to apologise for actions that happened many years ago. Tonight the Film Academy have apologised to Sacheen Littlefeather because some idiots booed when she represented Marlon Brando in refusing an OSCAR almost 50 years ago.

Bear in mind we are talking profits not turn over, so the numbers we are seeing are what they have left after they have paid all their costs. They are paying huge dividends to their shareholders, usually corporate investors.
We, the consumers have been told our pump prices have increased due to the Ukraine/Russia conflict. I might not be an accountant, but surely if raw material prices go up, profits come down. If profits are rising, there can be only one reason...profiteering. The oil companies have passed on the raw material increase and a little more to the customers.
Surely, during these hard days when we are all paying record prices at the pumps, the BP's and Shell's could restrict profits and reduce pump prices.
