Read the Daily Mail yesterday and their lead story was about "National Health Apartheid" they claim the English do not have the NHS advantages of "the jocks" or the "taffs"
I thought, in this day and age we had to make sure we referred to nationality in a way that did not cause offence and that such terms were now outlawed.
Could you imagine the outcry if they had used the terms "Paki" or "Chinkie"

WORLD CUP BID
Just been reading the cost of bidding for the world cup bid.
Apparently the cost is carried by the British tax payer for an event to be run totally in England. Do they forget the Scotland, Wales and Northern Irish tax payers put our hard earned cash into the tax pot. What were we to see from our investment in England running the world cup (although it is all hypothetical now)?
I accept that some tax repayment would be generated but none of the other advertised benefits such as no additional income through tourism to businesses in the other UK countries.
IF WE ARE GOING TO SPECULATE WITH UK TAXES THERE SHOULD BE UK BENEFIT

I am disappointed Russia beat England in the bid to host the world cup in 2018 but the English press need to get a life!
Because they lost they call foul. They claim corruption, collusion and cheating by competitors. All but the BBC claim the "Panorama" exposé had something to do with it. All sour grapes why don't they just accept they were beaten and move on?
The English nation is a small player in the world context and has no RIGHT to believe it is the best.
