The European Union make grants to organisations to help them grow and to assist the communities that either they serve or to which they give employment. Apparently one of the conditions of the grant is that the EU symbols are prominently displayed on all literature and company inforrmation.
It appears that some of the grant beneficiaries didn't understand the rules on displaying logos and can now be fined up to £1.5m. Sorry but I thought the grants were made to improve circumstances how come a deviation from the rules ends up with such a draconian punishment. Surely the EU would be better to warn the miscreants and if the "offence" continues then withdraw or cease the grant rather than impose fines......AND, surely if the recipients need the grant, following the rules is not too much to ask.
GIVE ME A LOAD OF CASH AND I WILL HAPPILY FLY YOUR FLAG!
