His holiness is visiting the UK in the next few weeks. For hundreds of thousands of catholics the visit is greatly anticipated.
However, now there is an debate about who pays for all the arrangements, the venues, and the security. Again we have to remind the government that we are skint! Apparently if the Pope, or any other relegious leader, decides to spread their ministry the costs lie with them. If they are invited on a "state visit" then we, the British tax payer, will pick up the not unconsiderable bill.
