Ricardo dos Santos, a Portuguese athlete, says he has been stopped in his car, three in the last two years. When a police car passed him and signalled for him to stop, he feared for his safety so he failed to stop and drove off past the patrol car.
Apparently Mr dos Santos was surprised when, 5 minutes later, other police cars boxed him in and forced him to stop. He was annoyed when asked to leave the car he saw a lot of police officers, some of them armed, had responded to the incident.
It was alleged by the police he had been using his phone while driving, bur, apparently no charges were proffered.
Mr dos Santos claims he was treated this way because of his colour. News flash, you were treated this way because it took 5 minutes for you to stop...and you had to be made to.
Someone once told me attitude breeds attitude
IF YOU'RE DRIVING AND ARE ASKED/TOLD BY THE POLICE TO STOP BUT FAIL TO COMPLY, DONT BE SURPRISED TO BE FORCED TO STOP AND BE TREATED WITH CAUTION BY THE OFFICERS WHO ARE THERE.
